Students will pick a job from the classified ads and copy the description. I will read the task. What is a resume and how is one used? What should you include/not include? Complete Resume worksheet- can take home to make sure info. is accurate.
Tuesday:11th
Read the "Creating the Effective Resume & Tips & Suggestions" on the overhead & take notes.
Wednesday:12th
Finish reading the "Creating the Effective Resume & Tips & Suggestions" on the overhead and take notes.
Thursday:13th
Transfer info. from their worksheet into a resume form. Use action verbs to strengthen your resume as students begin describing their work experiences on their resume.
Friday:14th
Use the sample resume to complete a final draft of your resume.
Homework: Read for 30 minutes each night.
