Monday- Review of economic concepts from last week (productivity, human capital, technological change, capital goods, standard of living, quality of life).  
"Necessity is the mother of invention." -Plato in the Republic 
What does this mean? What are some inventions that have revolutionized the way we live? 
 
Tuesday- More economic concepts...scarcity, opportunity cost, how economic systems function. 
Students will be in the computer lab on Wednesday to research an invention of their choice. They will use this information to write a newspaper article about that invention, who invented it, and the problem that the invention was used to solve. 
We will also look at some Medieval/Renaissance material to prepare for the field trip to the festival on Thursday. 
HOMEWORK- WHICH INVENTION WILL YOU RESEARCH ON WEDNESDAY??? KNOW IN ADVANCE! 
 
Wednesday- We will be in the computer lab. Students will start on the following website: http://edtech.kennesaw.edu/web/inventor.html 
I would like them to know going into the lab who and what they'll research. 
 
Thursday- Renaissance Festival!!! 
 
Friday- QUIZ!
