Tuesday-Role play: students will role play what it must have felt like to be a slave during the middle passage. Students then write a letter home to family in Africa about their capture, the middle passage, and life on the plantation.
Homework: Finish letter to Africa.(due Wednesday)

Friday- Students discuss the role of holidays in a culture and use these ideas to analyze four significant holidays in Mexico.
