The Kaleidoscope class’ first project was a study of Egypt. This year’s class is built around a museum theme and the students curate the collection. Students chose areas to research and created artifacts, which were then displayed in the Kaleidoscope museum. The exhibit is called “The Lost Artifacts of Egypt” and is on display for a short time at the school.
We also created an Egyptian Mummy. Students went through the entire process, (vegetable) organ removal to wrapping and ceremonial procession to where King Rootentootenkharmen lies in state as part of the exhibit.

The Kaleidoscope Museum researched and presented an exhibit on area veterans. The exhibit is in the hallway outside our room and features photos of veterans as well as their stories. This exhibit is to teach students that freedom is not free and was installed as part of Veterans Day recognitions throughout the school. In addition, we got to look at a 1968 Army Jeep and try on millitary gear.
