After the discussion questions were answered from the textbook and turned in as an exit slip.

Tuesday 
Metric Notes 
It is important that students are aware of SI units for science classes. SI units include grams, meters, Liters. 
Smart Board Lesson  
 
Finish presenting Lab Safety Posters. This project counts double (counts as two grades). 
 
Homework: Students are to complete metric conversion worksheet and study ALL notes. 
 
Wednesday 
Finish Metric lesson on Smart Board 
Demonstrate how to use metric ruler 
Worksheet with a partner 
-measurement 
-making a table 
 
Homework: Study all notes! We are going to the lab tomorrow so students need to wear proper clothing. 
 
Thursday 
We are going to the lab to do a basic classification activity to get used to the lab environment and experimenting process.  
 
Homework is to write a paragraph about why it is important to classify living things, and then define three vocabulary words: 
Kingdom 
Phylum
