The students will look for details of setting – the time and place – in a story and make inferences about the story element setting.
Vocabulary:
Appreciate – to be thankful for

Rustling – a light, soft sound of things gently rubbing together
Scolded – blamed with angry words
Startled – suddenly frightened
Devoured – ate hungrily or greedily
