Sixth Grade: Students should be finished with these projects: 
1) line drawing of hands 
2) poster that encourages exercise 
3) The "rules" sheet should have been turned in by Aug 9th. 
This week students will complete a drawing of a cylinder and a cube. We are using bottles of water (I will provide these) and something to eat that is rectangular or cubed shaped. Students must provide this item. Many kids are bringing in candy bars but raisens are good too! 
 
Our next unit involves color. We will talk about what colors can make you think. Did you know that some colors can make you hungry or irritated? We will also get to create a color wheel with paint. 
 
 
7th Grade: These are the projects you should have in so far: 
1) "rules" sheet 
2) cave art 
3)exercise poster 
4) choose one of the following: 
shoe, maze, capri sun, or "tool" drawing 
due this week: hieroglyphic homework 
We are beginning our unit on Egyptian art. We will create an Egyptian painting. 
 
8th Grade: You should have these in so far: 
1) "rules" sheet 
2) word "definition" drawing 
3) word grid drawing 
4) capri sun or exercise poster 
5) due this week: answer questions about you clothing project 
 
This week we will create clothing out of recycled materials. Students may work alone or in groups. See the cool examples in class! 
We will also create jewelry from magazines.
