At the end of August, our class won a Sonic Coney party for turning in the most Box Tops for our school. On Friday, September 28th, we were able to enjoy our reward. Click on the link below to check out the photos from the event.

On Thursday, August 16th at 1:30 Gilbert Elementary kicked off our Accelerated Reading program. Mrs. Massey chose Renaissance as the theme for this year's celebration. We dressed in our finest royal clothes. Our class made crowns to wear to the day's festivities. Mrs. Massey hosted a jousting relay in which the winners were given a copy of ERAGON. That's an awesome book! Mr. Tipton challenged the school to earn 40,000 AR points this year. This number will exceed last year's total by 3,000 points. He also agreed to provide new I-pods to the top boy and girl readers in the school. In order to meet these challenges, we must each do our part. So happy reading, my royal readers!
