As noted in the syllabus that was sent home with students, every student must bring something to read to class each day (book, school-appropriate magazine, newspaper, etc.). We spend a few minutes on most days reading silently, so this will be a grade. I do random book checks, so if a student brings something to read, a grade of 100 will be given, if not, a grade of 0 will be given. This is a part of their participation grade. Reading materials can be brought from home, checked out from any library, or checked out from my personal bookshelf. Please email me if you have any questions.
