Welcome

Welcome to RMS, a school with innovative learning opportunities and multiple interventions to improve knowledge. We’re extremely excited about our programs, and want to assist you and your child to make the most of this time. Just a few of our outstanding programs are:

CoTeaching in many classes
Standards based instruction using America’s Choice strategies
29 interactive white boards
2 computer labs running educational software
Computers in each classroom
Outstanding athletic teams
Outstanding band and chorus
6 science labs

We are a Distinguished Title I school and very proud of our academic accomplishments. For the 4th year in a row, we have made Adequate Yearly Progress on the Georgia Criterion Reference Tests. Even with this distinction, our scores are not as high as we would like, thus your assistance will be needed as we strive to improve. We will offer as many opportunities as possible for students to extend their skills. Your child may be involved after school tutoring, acceleration during connection classes, Saturday School, and computer based educational programs.

We apologize for the many items to be completed and returned. But these are very necessary for us to update our student data base. Two are extremely important:

The information packet should be completed and returned as soon as possible, as it will enable us to reach you in the event of an emergency.
The Application for Free / Reduced Lunch needs to be returned, whether you believe you are eligible or not. Your status may have changed in this economic downturn and this will avoid your child accumulating charges which must be paid.
