ENERGY MANAGEMENT

 

The purpose of the Energy Management Program is to make certain utilities are being used in the most cost effective manner. This practice creates more dollars for instructional purposes. Tommy Ferguson has served as Energy Manager for the Walker County School System since July, 2002. As of July 1, 2003 the Walker County Schools implemented an Incentive Program for conservation of ELECTRICITY, NATURAL GAS and WATER. Monthly rewards are attained when a school meets specific criteria for saving energy. The program has resulted in record low consumption making even more dollars available for students.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitor All WCS Utility Bills
  • Security Systems
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Telephone Systems
  • Intercom Systems
  • Camera Systems
