Mr. Zinkann's Computer Class

Computer Class is an introduction to common technology tools that almost everyone should be proficient in the work place and school. These units of study will provide students with a basic skill set that will enable them to keep up with emerging technology.

IMPORTANT- In order for students to adequately complete the course, the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) must be signed by both parent/guardian and student. This was a form given the first day of school in booklet called FYI. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Planning time- 8am-9:15am (706-820-0735) or email toddzinkann@walkerschools.org

Need a Free version of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, or Excel)? ...well OpenOfice is a very similar program that works on both Mac and PC computers. If your child is behind and you don't have Word or PowerPoint then this program is for you. When you save a document or presentation be sure to go to SAVE AS and select Word or PowerPoint. If I can help please let me know. toddzinkann@walkerschools.org

Microsoft Word-
Don't have Microsoft Office at home, no problem, download a free version here. It's not mircosoft but is is VERY similar and can be used with Mircosoft Office. Mac and PC compatable (OpenOffice). For example students can work at school using Word, then save it to their USB drive, take it home and finish it with OpenOffice, and if needed bring it back school. OpenOffice includes Word (text document), Powerpoint (presentation), Excel (spredsheet), and also inlcudes a database, drawing, and webpage programs.
