Accelerated Reader
This year students will continue to use our Accelerated Reader software program in the classroom. Students will read from a selected list of books and will take a computerized test on the book they read.
Students may also earn Accelerated Reader Awards! Each time a student makes a 100 on a quiz, they may enter our weekly AR100 drawing. Each Friday, one student will be the lucky winner of a $5.00 Walmart gift card and a mystery prize! Each nine weeks, students who achieve one of our AR certification levels will receive a star tag and certificate and will have a star placed on our AR Wall of Fame. We also have special yearly awards for the top point earners in each class, grade and school. For more information about our certification levels and yearly awards, please click HERE.
AR Has 3 Easy Steps
1. A student checks out a library book.
2. A student reads the book.
3. A student then takes a computerized AR Test in his/her classroom.
