My name is Lorie Lowery. I have two children of my own who have loved being part of Cherokee Ridge. My hobbies include reading, hiking, and horseback riding. My long-term goal is to write books for children. I currently teach second grade at Cherokee Ridge Elementary, and am proud to be a part of such an excellent school! I love my students and am dedicated to helping them be successful academically. I also know that learning should be fun, and try to incorporate the enjoyment of learning in my class. In addition, I know the importance of working in partnership with parents to ensure that students excel. My desire is that students become life long learners. |

This is my 10th year of teaching. This will be my 7th year of teaching second grade at Cherokee Ridge Elementary. My mission as a teacher is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where students are motivated to succeed both academically and emotionally. I strongly believe that education is a process in which one learns by doing and that experience is the best teacher. Learning occurs when one is actively involved in the learning process. |
