Tommy Ferguson, Energy Manager The purpose of the Energy Management Program is to make certain utilities are being used in the most cost effective manner. This practice creates more dollars for instructional purposes. As of July 1, 2003 the Walker County Schools implemented an Incentive Program for conservation of ELECTRICITY, NATURAL GAS and WATER. Monthly rewards are attained when a school meets specific criteria for saving energy. The program has resulted in record low consumption making even more dollars available for students.
