The Science and Technology Center provides a variety of resources and services to the school district. The building serves as a central meeting-place for the district and also is home to the Coordinator of Science, Technology, Gifted Education, and Information Services. Also at the Science and Technology Center are the district's Technology and Student Information support staff. The New Walker County Observatory On Friday, November 9, 2007, the Walker County Science and Technology Center in cooperation with NASA held a "first-light ceremony" for the new Walker County Observatory. You can click one of the links below (Apple Quicktime player or equivalent can be used to view the stream, visit Apple's site if you wish to download the Installer for PC or Mac ) to see what the telescope is viewing right now. If you see only a blue screen, that means the telescope is not being used for viewing at the moment.
Remember, if you only see a blue screen, that means we don't have the camera on. Refer to Apple's website for instructions or technical support on using Quicktime to view video.
