Walker County School Board awards GSBA Partner Commendation |

The Walker County Board of Education recently awarded Chattanooga Coca Cola Bottling United the Georgia School Boards Association Partnership Commendation as outstanding partner of the year. GSBA Executive Director Jeannie Henry commended the company for "providing the district invaluable program support in both academics and athletics for many years". Coca Cola is a charter member and system partner of WACOPEP (Walker County Partners for Educational Progress). They are major sponsors of the WACOPEP golf tournament and school fundraisers. Among other programs, they assist principals, coaches and teachers throughout the district, support Renaissance, reading and attendance programs as well as academics and athletics. They assist schools with meetings, conferences, and events for staff, students, families and school communities.  Receiving the Walker County Schools GSBA Partner Commendation for 2007 for Chattanooga Coca Cola Bottling United are Tony Killen and Robert Hitchcox.
