    I am committed to the quality education of all Walker County children. I believe that our children are the future of Walker County. The education of our children includes home, school, and community. School Board members have a responsibility to listen and balance the vision of the parents and community with the requirements and desires of educators. School Board members cannot attempt to manage the day-to-day activities of the system. However, by creating policies and procedures they do have the responsibility of ensuring accountability to the community, parents, and educators.

    My personal commitment to service and leadership of the Walker County School District:

    It is an honor to serve on the Walker County Board of Education. I am so proud of all the great awards and accomplishments that the schools and individual students have received during the past few years. It is my commitment to ensure that resources are available so all of the students in Walker County graduate high school…Ready for College, Ready for Life, and Ready for Work. I want to be fiscally responsible to our taxpayers and at the same time have an exemplary school system.
