FREE Books for Summer Reading with myON

For readers across Georgia, including Walker County, the first day of summer is beginning soon. Beginning today, you can read anywhere, anytime, and virtually anything, because Get Georgia Reading partner myON is delivering more than 10,400 free books to your computer and mobile devices that you can access 24 hours a day—every day—through Aug. 31.

Instructions to log on

Check out this short video with your students for tips on finding and reading great books on myON!  Then follow these simple steps to access the myON platform.

1. Go to myON.com

2. Click on GREEN “Log in now” button in top right

3. Enter the school name Get Georgia Reading – (Begin typing the word Get and select from the drop-down menu.)

Note: Do not cut and paste. Start typing “Get Georgia” and select the school from the drop down menu when it appears.

4. Username: walkercounty   Password: read

5. Click sign in and get reading!

Enjoy anywhere, anytime access! 
  • Read anywhere — at home or school, in the library, YMCA or other community settings.  
  • Read anytime — days, evenings, weekends, holidays and school breaks.  
  • Read online using any Internet-enabled device, and Read offline using free mobile apps for Kindle Fire HD, Android Devices, iPads and Google Chrome.

 

You can search from more than 50 different categories and genres, fiction and nonfiction, picture books, graphic novels, chapter books, titles for struggling and reluctant readers, and Spanish and bilingual titles. It’s like having your own personal library right at your fingertips.
